Sell-through rate calculator for a period
Find the share of available units sold during one clearly defined reporting period.
Formula and worked example
Units sold ÷ (opening units + received units) × 100.
Illustrative example: 60 sold ÷ (80 opening + 20 received) × 100 = 60%.
Before you use the result
- Use the same product group, location scope and dates for every input. This method includes opening stock and receipts, rather than receipts alone.
- Reconcile returns, transfers, write-offs and corrections before using this simplified calculation. It does not reconstruct those movements for you.
- A percentage describes movement, not profit. Compare similar selling windows and consider whether stock was available throughout them.
