Free shelf label and barcode maker
Create printable shelf labels with product names, prices and barcodes. Choose a label size, set copies and download your editable batch without signing up.
Edit the fictional sample. Work stays in this tab until you download a file; refreshing clears it. Code 128 encodes your SKU. UPC-A and EAN-13 require an existing assigned product number.

Print preview
Use A4 portrait, 100% / actual size, 10 mm margins, and turn off headers and footers. Cut along the outlines. These are plain-paper sheets, not a branded adhesive-sheet template. Test print and scan before use.
Reopen a JSON file downloaded from this tool, up to 1 MB. Read on your device without uploading.
Make a clear price label for each product on your shelves. This free shelf label maker combines a product name, price and barcode on a plain-paper label. Start with the fictional shop sample, replace the details and print the number of copies you need.
Build a label batch
- Name the batch and add your store name if you want it on the labels.
- Choose Shelf labels at 90 × 45 mm or Compact labels at 60 × 40 mm.
- Enter each product's name, SKU and price. Choose the currency shown beside the price; changing it does not convert the amount.
- Use Code 128 to encode an internal SKU, or enter an existing UPC-A or EAN-13 product barcode.
- Set the copies for each product, review the sheet and print a test page.
A batch holds up to 20 products and 60 labels in total, with up to 20 copies of each product. The preview shows every copy. Download a labels file before leaving the page to keep an editable version; reopening it replaces the current draft only after you confirm.
Choose the right barcode
Code 128 uses your SKU as the barcode content. Keep the SKU to 18 characters or fewer, using letters, digits, dots, slashes, underscores or hyphens. A barcode lets a scanner read the code; your checkout or stock system still needs a matching product record.
UPC-A requires an existing 12-digit number and EAN-13 an existing 13-digit number. The tool checks the length and check digit. It does not assign product numbers, register codes or verify ownership. Use the number already assigned to that product.
Print shelf labels at the intended size
Use A4 portrait paper, 10 mm margins and 100% or actual-size printing. Turn off browser headers and footers. Cut along the label outlines. These layouts are for plain paper and do not match a particular brand of adhesive sheets.
Check the dimensions on a test page and scan each barcode with your own equipment before printing a full batch. Printer scaling, paper and scanner settings can affect the result. The planogram builder can help you decide where the products belong, and the stocktake tool gives you a count sheet for the same shelves.
Frequently asked questions
Can I make shelf labels without an account?
Yes. The maker opens with an editable sample and works without a login or email address. The tools do not upload your product details.
Can I save a batch and edit it later?
Download the labels JSON file and reopen it on this page. Your draft is held only in the open tab, so refreshing or leaving the page clears it. You can also download a plain-text list or choose Save as PDF in the print dialog.
Does this create new retail product numbers?
No. It renders an existing UPC-A or EAN-13 number, or creates a Code 128 symbol from your own SKU. A valid check digit does not establish that a product number belongs to you.
Will these labels work with my scanner?
Test a printed label with your scanner and product system. The tool generates barcode artwork, but it cannot confirm your hardware settings or the records behind the code.
