What gets in the way

Similar products, different sizes

Small differences in a fitting, fastener pack or accessory can matter. A shelf needs readable product identities as well as a tidy arrangement.

Shelf and backroom stock disagree

An empty selling position may need a transfer from storage rather than another supplier order. Separate location counts make that distinction visible.

Seasonal changes need follow-through

A change from gardening accessories to winter supplies involves product placement, labels and assigned work, often across more than one person.

How headoffis helps

Measure the selling package

Give each stocked size its own product record and dimensions. Plan rectangular packages against the usable width, height and depth of the shelf.

Check stock where it is stored

Keep location counts and record transfers when packaged goods move from storage to a selling position. Unknown counts remain distinct from zero.

Review supplier draft actions

Configure a low-stock workflow to prepare a text order draft and an in-app notification. A person still reviews and sends any actual order.

Assign the shelf change

Give the reset an owner, location and due date. Use the approved layout checklist to verify the placements that the team installs.

Example: Example: resetting a packaged fastener bay

  1. Create distinct product records for each pack size and measure the outer packages.
  2. Count the selling shelf and reserve stock separately before deciding what to buy.
  3. Build and review the shelf arrangement, then approve the version the team should install.
  4. Print the corresponding labels and check each placement during the reset.

Good to know

  • The layout models shelves and rectangular product dimensions, not peg-hook positions, bulk bins or cut-to-length goods.
  • Stock uses product units; case conversion, weighing and live point-of-sale synchronization are not supplied.
  • The business workspace is coming soon. Public guides and standalone calculators are available now.
